Sometimes you have those kind of hectic days more than others but that’s okay. So even though it’s much cheaper to prep it yourself at home, sometimes you just quick have to go to the grocery store the day before or on that same day to have a quick easy healthy lunch.

From my previous blogs  you can see that I always prepare my food in a good way so personally, I don’t like to spend my hard earned money just knowing I have some food at home. But having said that, even I sometimes fall into the trap of being unprepared 🙂

So that’s why I have written this blog, so the next time you need to buy something healthy but you can’t find something healthy, just go to my website and check out this quick easy healthy lunch idea blog to remind you of some great, simple ideas?

This quick easy healthy lunch idea is so easy you might think; wow why haven’t I thought about this or why don’t I do this more often.

So let’s crack on, not too much chit chat and let me show you a quick easy healthy lunch idea!

So what to pick if you need to make a quick decision in the grocery shop?

Already prepped salad

Avocado
Pack of olives
Cherry tomatoes
Lemon
Some whole wheat bread or microwave brown rice

So what’s next?

Salads are already in a bowl so the only thing you need to do is cut the avocado in chunks and throw it in the salad bowl

Add the olives and the cherry tomatoes

Cut the lemon in half and juice it over the salad for a healthy dressing

Eat it with some of the brown rice or whole wheat bread

And people that’s it! If you don’t want to buy junk outside on the streets and still want to eat healthy: here you go a quick easy healthy lunch idea!

And today’s Headliner ingredient of the day is?

Olives

When I was younger I could not understand how people could eat olives, for me it was just sour grapes nothing more nothing less.
I can’t remember when it was, I think it was when I met my wife and she ate olives that I started to eat olives but boy oh boy when I started to get the hang of it, it was a done deal. I can literally now eat a whole pack of olives in 1 go..easy?

Did you know?

1. That olive is a powerhouse of antioxidants, Studies have shown that eating olives can raise the levels of glutathione which is a powerful             oxidant in the blood.
2. Olives are fruits
3. Olives have an antioxidant called Tyrosol which helps prevent heart disease
4. That they support your cardiovascular health
5. That they are great for your eyes and skin

Healthy easy breakfast prep idea!

Because this website is all about healthy food planning, this one is a must! A healthy easy breakfast prep! Love it 🙂

We really live in the era of information so some say breakfast is the most important meal of the day while other disagree with that, but for me and many a healthy easy breakfast prep is a must no matter what. If I don’t eat in the morning I don’t leave the house 🙂

A healthy easy breakfast prep is not hard at all. Again it’s all about preparing your meals and I will show you how to.

So let’s crack on, not too much chit chat and let me show you 2 easy healthy meal ideas

When to prep?

Pick 1 day and cut everything in the smaller parts or do it all the evening before

What do you need?

Broccoli

Celery

1 orange for each day

Unsalted mix nuts

Water

Honey

Food storage containers

Check out my review on one of the blenders out there

Next step

Cut the heads of the broccoli, cut it in small chunks wash it off and put it in a container

Peel off all the celery stalks, wash them all off and start cutting in same size chunks and put them in a container

Peel off the oranges and cut the oranges into 4 chunks

Insert some of the broccoli, celery, oranges with some water and honey to the cup and start blending it.

Next step

Pour it all into a Glass and enjoy it with a handful of mix nuts

And that’s it

And there you have it a very quick healthy snack which you can enjoy every day of the week, how easy is that:)

And today Headliner ingredient of the day is?

Broccoli

Love Broccoli! As the most of us as a kid I hated it but now I have it every day?

You can use it raw in a smoothie or when I have it in a meal I love to steam it very short so you don’t lose all the good stuff (like vitamins, minerals etc.)

And it’s quite cheap as well I bought yesterday one for just £0,45 from the Sainsburys how cool is that a green explosion of vitamins, minerals etc. for that money how cool is that?

Did you know/Benefits

  • That there is a purple broccoli? Never tried it but it’s true
  • Broccoli originated in Italy around 2000 years ago
  • 1 cup of broccoli will get you your daily requirement vitamin C
  • Broccoli is a superfood
  • That you can eat the stalk as well? Yes its true its full of the good stuff so don’t throw it away but throw it in your blender – That was a really corny line sorry?

Interesting facts

In 2013 President Obama said broccoli is his favorite vegetable. You see like minded people think alike?

So there you have it a healthy easy breakfast prep! made easy just for you:)

If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to contact me, I’m here to help you. if you have any feedback please let me know so I can improve myself helping you achieving and enjoying your goals.

Simple baby food ideas

Simple baby food ideas, I’m sure you love it already!

All credit for this blog goes to my wife because she organized everything perfectly. She came up with simple baby food ideas to make sure that when our little one was 6 months old (the age that they are allowed to have solid food) she was eating healthy every single day.

So that inspired me to write this blog about simple baby food ideas! And that’s what we want in this life right? Simple and easy to make baby food ideas.

The result of our weaning strategy, is a beautiful, happy toddler who loves food and not just sweet food but literally eating all of her vegetables like it’s a sorbet ice cream?

So let’s crack on, not too much chit chat and let me guide you through this simple baby food ideas blog?

Baby food ideas number 1- Blend, steam and freeze your baby food

Check out my review on the Tommee Tippee baby food steamer, blender

Fruit and vegetables

Why?

  1. By steaming fruit and vegetables for your young babies, you kill the bacteria’s so you can be sure your baby will only get the best food in her tummy.
  2. It is going to save you a lot of time.
  3. It’s going to save you money (got your attention now huh? )

Instructions

  •    My wife would first buy a lot of fruits and vegetables, which you can get really cheap from the market (check out one of my blogs of this)
  •    She would wash everything and then it all in blend size chunks
  •    My wife would then steam, blend it in our Tommee Tippee Baby Food Steam Blender (check out my review about this awesome machine       from Amazon where I will explain exactly how to do it)
  •    Once everything is done, she would use an empty ice cube tray which you have in different sizes and which you can buy very cheap in your     poundshop or dollarshop
  •    Once frozen she would then get freezer bags and mix things up, for example, one bag with a banana cubes and a beetroot cubes or a bag     with pear and kale cubes

And there you have it, just get the bags out of the freezer a day before consumption and warm it up it up in the microwave. If you don’t want to use the microwave, try the Bain Marie method to warm up the food.

Check out my review on the Tommee Tippee baby food steamer, blender

This is what you can do with vegetables, fruit and chicken. My wife would just put it in the oven and then blend it in the blender and freeze it the same way.

How easy is that! And again this will save you a lot of time and money, just get out of the freezer what you need and warm it up?

Baby food ideas number 2-Delicious baby breakfast

Now you know you have fruits in the freezer, so you can get them out of the freezer the day before and warm them up with your baby porridge. Trust me, your little baby will love it?

Baby food idea number 3- Start with bitter vegetables first

A lot of times parents start with sweet fruits as the first solid food for their babies, which is not bad because its healthy. The only danger with this is that your little one gets used early to that sweet flavor.

And once they get used to that sweet flavor, it’s harder to get them used to bitter vegetables like spinach, kale and avocado for example.

And there you have it: simple baby food ideas!

I would definitely recommend the steam and blend method. You will have so much healthy self-made food in-house so you will know exactly what you’re giving your little one. Check out my review on the Tommee Tippee baby food steamer, blender

So first of all what are superfoods? According to Josh Axe DNM, DC, CNS certified doctor of natural medicine, chiropractic, and clinical nutritionist ( Man I want a title like that?) Superfoods are foods which are more nutrient-dense than other foods in their categories. So they stand more out then ordinary. So they are higher in vitamins, minerals, antioxidants,so they give your body the more nutrients your body need.
